Implementation of the advocacy and communication campaign envisaged within the framework of the initiative supporting small and medium enterprises in the field of food and agriculture (FASSI)

The project is financed by the European Union, within the framework of EASSI, an initiative supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of food and agriculture, which is implemented under the leadership of the Georgian Farmers' Association (GFA). Consortium members are: Civil Development Agency (CiDA), International School of Economics (ISET), Export Development Association (EDA) and Association "Atinati". Where the implementation of advocacy and communication campaign is envisaged, the project also envisages the strengthening of the organization's activities, diversification of services, promotion and development.

Based on the idea of the project, the following issues will be discussed at seminars with agro-entrepreneurs, farmers and cooperative members, in particular with people employed in the agricultural field:

Informing people employed in the agricultural sector about the planned phytosanitary reform;
Effective (agrotechnical, mechanical, chemical and biological) plant protection measures;
Regulated use of pesticides and fertilizers of European standards and their control;
Information about the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) and its regulations will be disseminated.
Phytosanitary inspection of production plots;
Standards of storage and transportation of surplus agricultural products;
Standard: HACCP as one component of phytosanitary certification, organization of organic farming and introduction of innovative technologies;
Use of intensive gardening technologies;
