History - VETC has long-term history established in 2001 as “Imereti Employers' Association “since 2011 as "Imereti Builders Business Association” In 2017 the organization was rebranded to VETC. We are a non-governmental, non-formal, vocational educational organization with its own bank account, seal and symbol. The organization has branches in Samtredia and in Senaki.

The organization provides consultation and training services for women entrepreneurs, internally displaced persons - IDPs, farmers, etc.

 

Our Priorities

• Vocational education;
• Facilitating business development;
• Facilitating the development of agribusiness;
• Facilitating social/economic development for internally displaced persons;
• Participation in the creation of jobs;
• Participation in creating a safe work and health environment;

We offer trainees: vocational educational courses - with practical training, business consulting and information services, trainings, seminars, etc.

We have partner organizations and have participated in various projects:
• USA Columbus (Ohio State) - USAID World Training - "Vocational Education and Employee Development Program" ("Education and Business Alliance");
•  Millennium Challenge Fund "Business for Gender Equality"
• "Women's Gender Program" under the auspices of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Italy/Turin; "Start and develop your      business (SIYB)"
• Germany – "Economic Educational Training Institution of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern";
• Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) program "Labor Market Policy and Programs", "Social Dialogue"
• Azerbaijan/Baku training for trainers, etc. 

 

We have participated in the following projects:
• European Union for Georgia 
(ENPARD – Georgia) - project "Initiative supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of food and agriculture".
• European Union-funded project "Development of formal and informal vocational education of Georgian agribusiness"
• PIN project: production of bio humus with local resources and expected results obtained from its separation"
• European Union for Georgia - Project "Advocacy and Communication" - training/seminars on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) and its regulations.
• investment of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the American organization Land O'Lakes Venture 37 in Georgia, together with the Georgia Farmers Association "Investing in Safe and Quality Livestock (SQIL)" - training / seminars - good hygiene and safety practices for livestock farm workers.
• Project - You can do it - the
joint Ukrainian and Georgian project - women for women (for internally displaced persons). The project implementers are "ELEOS-UKRAINE", Georgian Employers' Association (GEA) and Hamburg Coordination Center for Qualification and Employment Level Improvement (КWB) - with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany. 

 

We are also partners and cooperate with:

Georgian Employers Association; Akaki Tsereteli State University;  "Public College Iberia"; Community College Elite;  Kutaisi American corner of the public library named after Ilia Chavchavadze; Imereti Regional Division of the National Food Agency; Imereti Veterinarians Association; Imereti Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry; "Mermis" Union of Caregivers of the Socially Vulnerable People; Union of Teachers - Education and the World; "Small and medium-sized business, financing and development team" (SBS); European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Tbilisi office of German Economic Development (DWV), TUYP -  International Exhibition and Congress Center (we are a representative in the Imereti region) and other non-governmental organizations. 

Our organization is a "provider" vocational school for both local and foreign non-governmental organizations and colleges.
In the organization, training programs are led by International Labor Organization (ILO), food product safety (HACCP) and labor safety certified trainers, professors and highly qualified staff.
The organization has published two editions of training course manual "How to become an office manager".
We give recommendations to various companies to employ our excellent graduates. 
The organization owns an office - a conference hall, study rooms, a lunch room, office equipment, furniture, as well as a hostel for students, an independent car park, etc.
